As some of you may know, wrapping up my hell storm, known to others as 2016, I began the portion control diet because I wanted to lose weight slowly enough I didn’t look dead – after 6 weeks and not losing an ounce, I did not do my usual HCG and lose a zillion pounds in a blink (it does work! & I was able to keep it off but…) I didn’t like the way it made me look. Too “sinew-y” I don’t think that’s a word but it describes it perfectly.
I’ve been enjoyably losing 10pound/mo since mid February. I have lost 40 of the 50 pounds I gained by cutting out all sugar and starch. Why? Because, Yup! I had attained the dreaded “big girl” status for sure. I didn’t fit in any of my clothes and was miserable when I finally got out from under the funk of the emotional and circumstantial train wreck, commonly known to most people as 2016. Fast forward to this month when things are going quite well after cutting out and leaving behind any and all toxicity from my life. More on that another time.
Anyway, I got stuck and plateau’d a while back and tried this tea (below). A few years ago, I had tried Garcinia Cambogia, as well as, the Apple Cider Vinegar on another occasion, neither of which did anything except make me lose money and stink, in that order. I mean seriously- nada- zilch- flat out nothing. My appetite & weight remained completely unchanged.
Recently, I added this morning tea ritual along with the GarCam (my nickname for Garcinia Cambogia- not a brand) AND wow! It worked! I did discover through studying & experimenting that not all GarCams are the same! Some even have ingredients that counteract themselves in the capsule itself making them useless. The two brands below worked for me (I am not paid or sponsored to promote or name brands). I got the (in my opinion pricey) Research Verified ones on Amazon because the others, simply did not work. I do understand that every body is different so you may need a different brand of GarCam but this combo did wonders! If it does work for you, please let me know about it!
It is not the tastiest tea you will ever drink but I have to tell you, I have had far worse in my attempts to get over a plateau. It truly is not bad at all. Because I am not eating any sugar at the moment and never eat fake sugars or sugar substitutes, instead of honey I use Stevia (NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Truvia or Stevia in the Raw which are HORRIBLE!). You may say, “but honey is natural and good for you! Agreed… When I am not losing weight, I eat honey or maple syrup. However, both of those and everything sweet that I know of, aside from real 100% Stevia raise your blood sugar levels/insulin when ingested which makes weight loss a real booger. I also prefer lime to lemon taste so sub that. I just wanted to include the original recipe :)
