Behind the Scenes OSD 12

People sometimes think that the Charisma+2 girls just show up looking like Barbies and that everything is just laid out at their feet. Sometimes this is true… but when we put on an event- it starts 3-4 hours early at the minimum. Here is a glimpse into the sides of the C+2 girls that not everyone gets to see thanks to photographer Kirte M. Kinser.

Starting with the outside first since it is cooler early in the day, getting up to 106* later in the day.

It had been decided earlier in the week that signage on the front of a building doesn’t really help when driving by in the car. So we put up the Operation Supply Drop Banner on the Patio Railing and Chell’s neon posters angled on the telephone pole so people can easily spot us when driving by from either directions.

Turns out the posters also flagged in one of Yvonna’s old game industry friends who was jogging back from the gym. But we will talk about that later. For now, let’s see what is going on inside The Den, where the charity event is taking place in Dallas.

The C2 girls who are set with wardrobe start setting up the tech. At this event, that means several Xboxes, a small QuakeLive tourney area for duals, and a live stream area. The lounge we chose for this event has a T1 connection with lots of TVs and plenty of HDMI ready fun. Trouble is- there are no long cables! The C2 girls figure out solutions, improvising with stacking what was on hand.

Below is Chell tweaking her Street Fighter 4 set up and of course succeeding in the end with everything in place.

Ashley starts to set up the stream PC (her own sweet Alienware Gaming PC) only to find out the software downloaded to for some unforeseeable reason, the PC is not seeing the video equipment or the Mic !!! She stays calm and looks for a solution. She solicits some help from Shawn, but there just seems no reason. Ok, time to get the show on the road anyway!

Yvonna is balancing every aspect but gets pulled over by Confliction who is assisting with the set up for the QuakeLive tourney. They talk brackets and get ready to roll.

Time is ticking and Pink from Effin Media is confirming the prize up first, the Autographed Claptrap action figure from Borderlands, while Ashley is tweaking the stream, and the talent extraordinaire KillerrQueen and Chanel do what they do best with Twitter updates and smiling that infectious, irresistible smile!
